The search, looking back on its progressIt is time again to stop and look back for a moment. Since the last state of affairs
(in 2004) I have, as I understand it, made great progress. My work has, compared with the
beginning, become much more extended and more complicated; it covers a broader domain and
digs deeper, while it also draws nearer to the everyday reality. The facts which have come
to the surface, the 'common truths' as my well-beloved nephew rightly and very pointedly
defined my basic assumptions and observations, harshly contrast with the delusion of 'the
technological world' and the plastic world of Disney, Barbie and Calimero dolls. It
continues to amaze, hurt and amuse me. |

Patterns: objectification, timing the subjective selfIn this series of three I have worked out the patterns of beginning of functions which approach their purpose in the world directly pointed at the own instinctive or conscious development. Always plan, hold on to or work at the progress of its function.
These patterns are used by everyone, be it for different functions, areas of work and, of course, in different measure and mixture. As I myself use the Scorpio pattern to begin and the Capricorn pattern falls in the third phase, I use that last pattern to discriminate and acquire knowledge in a structural manner. There is also my self-governing function which at the same domain applies the same pattern. The Taurus pattern falls, subsequently, in the seventh phase, so I use that to pay attention to the values involved in relations of collaboration. There is no function which applies this pattern, so I shall have to use such activities and this method more or less effortlessly. The Virgo pattern I use then in the eleventh phase, to work carefully at solutions in activities of groups. That is where the integrate function, my capacity for empathy, is also located with which I apply that synthetic method to social matters in a targeted way. This series dealt with inner consistency and therefore also with the tenacity and
serviceability in which these people are specialised, and - tacitly - also with the
possibility of potentialities of their being more or less active. |

Structure: that on which processes and systems and thinking and such are basedIn ZZZine #19, where dynamics and connections were
studied, I had gone down the side-path of functions which originate subprocesses. That did
not offer the expected view at relations between parts of processes and between processes
mutually. Although it was informative for understanding the differences between the
functions of a process and their mutual affection and cooperation, the notion
subprocess was and became not clearly distinguishable from the notion context and did not
lead to a clear image (neither did the idea of a process as 'centre of relations'). The
sense of puzzlement that remained did lead me to continue my search for clarity regarding
the relations between processes. In ZZZine #23, introduction to the internal operation of the process, I have studied the agreement, between the world and a new process, cooperation on the basis of a given purpose. With that the environment has for a moment become the whole world, nature. I have put abreast three world-views. The given purpose, or cooperation agreement, the moment of beginning and the space and time private to every process are matters that have come up for discussion. In ZZZine #26, a complex network 1, I have returned
to the organic process and thus to Whitehead, and to Gödel with his view on the limits of
systems and the application thereof on the limits of our knowledge of the world full of
processes. that my thinking needs a fixed set of potentialities, In its appendix, ZZZine #26x, I collected some sets of basic notions used in philosophy and started with listing the relations of the process which can occur within its structure and which constitute the uniqueness of it. After finishing #30 I set up anew the overview of the structural connections between the parts of a process. My insights had become considerably more clear. The overview is not yet definitive, some parts still have to be deepened in future zines. In ZZZine #29, a complex network 2, I dealt with
the situation of a process in the midst of contexts. The contexts of a process and seeing
that they are genuine processes has been a real eye-opener for me. It has deepened my
insight into the interaction with the unsettling outer world. It is clear that now the process in time really starts to come within sight. A process
is, after all, the de-velopment of a given purpose in a versatile environment,
isn't it? |

| Is she still there, the story line? No, she has really been replaced by the themes
line. But the stories have not disappeared at all. Alongside the main subject there still
is room for a personal recollection, a reaction, a counterpart or nuancing in the form of
an example from my experience which can elucidate that theme. In these first three themes it turned out to be possible to expand the up till now flat theoretical model with the dynamics of everyday reality and to show the spatial properties of the model. I have tried to analyse the practical potentialities of the theoretically constructed, complexly built up layers of the network within the process. I try to show what the insight into this and the knowledge of it can mean for our daily life. |
3 Themes: three dialectic steps, the most dynamic side of the processIt is clear that in the themes line human beings, which are considered of all animals
to have the clearest notion of their individuality, can be treated in a more general sense
than in the story line which only dealt with my own stories. I now apply my insights into
the process, not to all organisms inclusive of the world as a whole, but focussed on human
activities. In this way it is obviously possible to lift out refinements of the process. In ZZZine #24, 'Inner stability and language use',
the story 'Exclude' illustrates, with a text which Einstein once offered his wife, how he
protected his inner stability. It is flanked by 'Alienation', a personal memory of my
parents, illustrating how mother could become alienated from her environment. In ZZZine #27, 'Play for values, respect at stake',
the stories illustrate twice the subject 'school'; the story in 'Cosě, a play', that
shows how the pair da Ponte - Mozart tried to propagate its values, is flanked by 'Room
for Play', a personal memory of my presumably last day at the elementary school which
shows how Mother Superior transmitted her own deep confusion on her environment. In ZZZine #30, 'Dependent in the midst of changing
purposes' I pursue the story 'Room for Play' which presents extremely suitable
material for this dialectic part. Beside it there are some brief examples of contexts
which create confusion when the purpose, and thus the process, imperceptibly has been
replaced by another purpose. The group of three dynamic connections forms the dialectic part of the process. Keeping
one's balance and watching your limits on the path toward the own purpose is now rounded
off, after the new supply with challenges and values in all sorts of playful and formal
experiences of life, with the distinction of facts and interpretations and the insertion
of the own function in the whole. Together these parts rotate around the development from
weakness to the strength to master one's own life in and with the assistance of the
environment and to take in our own hands the resposibility for that behaviour. We have
formed an image of the structural background of interaction, changeability, balancing, of
conversation and dialogue about differences of opinion and common interests, of conflicts
and play, of history and solution. |

Values and other aspects of the processIt is clear that every process has its own scheme of values, it follows from the
purpose as being given. That purpose can only be fully known after the process is
completed. Here we see the great difference between the knowledge of the value of one or
more actions and the insight in the set of values of this unique human being; the first is
feasible up to a point, the last is definitely impossible while alive and only scarcely
afterwards. Who knows the values of Shakespeare or Hegel or even Stalin sufficiently to be
able to say that he knows that person in his entirity? Here it becomes clear how process
thinking can provide clarity: we can at the most judge matters which we can oversee in
their entirety and have examined as a whole. That all this contains both positive and
negative experiences, that dialectics can be understood as a method to obtain information
and as a discussion for reaching a compromise, can be used as a tool for cheating and as a
lightning-rod may well speak for itself. So first I have to study the other aspects of the process. These are the aspects which
certainly also play a role and that can contribute their own vision of the values and
interests which are at stake and in the behaviour that is to be pursued. Luckily I have
already some important materials - about present-day thinking and the moral questions
which it raises - at my disposal notes and sources . |
The planning of the remaining workThe dialectical aspect gave an interesting bit of insight in our behaviour, but still
other viewpoints present themselves. Unlike the differences with the world and the
contexts in which dialectics expresses itself, other groupings of the same basic elements
lead to other connections and thus to other possibilities. In the themes line I shall
first study the grouping of more corresponding parts with their specialising character.
After that I want to take a look at what possibilities the grouping with the reaching for
compromise character can offer. Whether the more precise, formal description of these
networks can come out fully in the themes line or that this should be treated in the
structure line remains to be seen. |
